Smooth Jazz or what others call contemporary jazz is a sub-genre of Jazz, and it is called smooth jazz because it is heavily influenced by pop, rock, funk and RNB.
This type of music started in the early 1960’s or 1970’s in the United States of America using the same kind of instruments used in Jazz like saxophone, piano and the like.
